LONDON, 29th December 2010 - Pete Gillespie, Snowsports Director at The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead, has been chosen to attend The Interski Congress 2011 as a representative of the Irish Association of Snowsports Instructors (IASI). This is a huge honour for both Gillespie and The Snow Centre, as the congress, which takes place every four years, is known as the World Cup of snowsports instructors. The Interski Congress will be held on 15 – 22 January 2011 in St Anton, Austria.

Snowsports teaching nations from around the world will come together in St Anton to exchange ideas on ski & snowboard techniques and teaching methodologies, and bigger nations will also send demonstration teams. In 2011, the theme of the congress will be “Do it, Feel it, Be it”.

Pete Gillespie is proud to attend The Interski Congress as a member of the Irish delegation and says this can be seen as the pinnacle of his professional career so far. The fact that the Snowsports Director is heading over to the Interski Congress also confirms that The Snow Centre is one of the most highly qualified snowsports schools in Great Britain.
