Coverdry Bed Protector

Coverdry's 3-in-1 wrap around bed protector is innovative and ideal for children of all ages who still have accidents at night

A mum's solution to an everyday problem

Coverdry , The UK's first 3 in 1 wrap around bed protector, has caused quite a stir since its launch at London’s Baby Show in October. Parents are calling the product, invented by mother of three Tracey Hollins, 'a lifesaver' and 'a godsend'.

@coverdry “Gosh what brilliant products - wish we knew about you when my we were battling the stress! ”

Entrepreneur Tracey Hollins, mother of Tom (15), Phil (12) and Sophie (8) came up with the idea 13 years ago.

When Tracey’s son Tom was two he started toilet training. Like other children he had accidents but it was when he wet the car seat she thought of an innovative idea for a seat protector for the car seats to stop them from getting wet.

Like lots of parents Tracey coped with her children bed wetting. She says “As a working mum having to wash the bed covers and quilt most days was a real bind as the bed protectors would only protect the bottom sheet.”

This inspired her to design a 3-in-1 cover that would protect the sheet and quilt, to make life a little less stressful for child and parent alike.

• Coverdry bed protector wraps around the child to protect the quilt, pillow and bottom sheet from accidents using four small Velcro straps.

• Coverdry bed protector can be used as a flat sheet for use below on or on top of the bottom sheet

• Coverdry bed protector makes a colourful throw which protects the quilt from marks and spills

• Coverdry is machine washable at 60ºC and can be tumble or line dried.

Coverdry inventor Tracey Hollins says: “Yet again, the best baby products are created by real parents, one of those genius ideas that you wish you had thought of and one of the essentials we need when training children at night. From my own experience it is very important to get children out of pull ups ASAP as they make the child feel dry at all times, I think that a child needs to feel wet to learn to be dry. Once they are more aware of the wet feeling he or she will start wakening at night to go to the toilet.”

Tracey has also been doing a lot of work with ERIC Education and Resources for Improving Childhood Continence who say, "Coverdry's 3-in-1 wrap around bed protector is innovative and ideal for children of all ages who still have accidents at night".

Tracey said: "We're looking forward to meeting lots of mums and children at the Baby Show at the NEC in May. It's a golden opportunity to demonstrate the simplicity and quality of this cover.
