London, UK - 15 February 2011 - TestExpo, the UK's leading exhibition event for software testers, has announced the opening of attendee registration for its spring 2011 event, which has the theme of 'Automate and Innovate—the Road to Cost-Cutting'. The exhibition, which is free to attend, will be held on Wednesday 23 March at The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster, London.

IBM will be the premium sponsor of the event, joined by some of the leading vendors in software testing, such Original Software, Quotium and Seapine Software, along with others to be announced next week. In addition, Facilita, Green Hat, HP, and SQS have been named in the first set of exhibitors that will attend to share their tools, services and products with this spring's attendees.

For fifteen years, TestExpo has hosted leading organisations and experts for wide-ranging discussions on the latest innovations and developments in quality assurance and software testing. This spring's event will focus on how businesses can take advantage of the proven effectiveness of automated testing to enhance the speed, accuracy and results of software development - and to do this within budget.

Harreet Khara, event director for TestExpo said: "Time to market and budget spend are areas that every business and organisation have to consider within the software development lifecycle. We're excited to be hosting vendors, speakers and thought leaders that want to share their views on these key areas. At the last TestExpo we saw a great deal of interest in the adoption of proven testing methods that take the surprise out of software testing and eliminate some of the more cumbersome aspects of manual testing. In March we will expand on these topics in keynotes, presentations and exhibitions. We're in the process of signing up further sponsors, speakers and exhibitors, and I look forward to welcoming attendees to a dynamic and lively event. "

Tulin Pledger Head of Marketing for Original Software said: "As a leader in our industry, we're proud to be a part of TestExpo and to support the sharing of ideas at an event that explores the technical, business and financial case for advanced software testing. We believe that collaboration and innovation through the combination of new tools and methodologies can help developers to consistently deliver world-class software. We're looking forward to participating and contributing in the 'automate and innovate' discussion."

Richard Terry, deputy CEO of Sogeti said: "Organisations in highly competitive markets need to implement IT systems rapidly within budget, and automated testing is a great way to gain efficiency. It also puts testers in more control as decisions can be made clearly and rapidly, and helps to manage risk. Many organisations see an immediate benefit as they move from manual processes to automated ones, especially in repetitive situations such as regression testing."
