Leading provider of unified end-user computing solutions increases development and quality assurance team, launches Centrix WorkSpace in Germany and expands UK channel network, and continues to recruit in all departments

Newbury, Berkshire – 22nd March 2011 - Centrix Software, a leading provider of software for unified end-user computing, today announced as part of its continued expansion, that it has doubled its development and quality assurance (QA) team to support the increasing demand for its Centrix WorkSpace solutions in strategic desktop transformation, cloud and virtualisation initiatives.

The team expansion includes the appointment of Craig Henderson as director of engineering who will oversee the company’s test, architecture, support and development teams. Prior to joining Centrix Software, Henderson held management positions at Rockwell Collins and IRIS Software, and most recently was director of product development at JDA Software, a leading international supply chain software company.

Further to increasing its operational resources, the company has also extended its relationship with leading distributor Arrow ECS to expand its market reach into Germany and has appointed A&O, Bytes, B2Lateral, OCSL and Strategic Technologies as new reseller partners in the UK.

Centrix Software’s unified end-user computing solutions provide intelligence on end-user computing environments and enable agile IT service delivery so that organisations can meet user demands and respond faster to user, organisational and business change. Its Centrix WorkSpace solutions analyse how users use and consume IT assets, identify the most effective mix of application, desktop platforms and devices for supplying services based on this intelligence and provide a unified service interface across Web, Windows, virtual and cloud platforms.

"Large organisations at the moment are faced by a perfect storm of changes: new ways of delivering services and managing IT are impacting established internal processes, while external economic forces are putting pressure on organisations to work in more flexible ways. IT decision-makers have to know more about the dynamics of their user environments to make the right choices, which is why we are seeing demand for our solutions in the market. With the influence of the Web, desktop virtualisation and cloud-based services, the move from desktop to end-user computing is well underway; we help organisations make the transition faster to more agile service delivery," commented Lisa Hammond, CEO at Centrix Software. “The expansion of our team, and the recruitment of more partners in the UK and Germany, is a great next step in establishing ourselves at the forefront of this new market opportunity.”

About Centrix WorkSpace

The Centrix WorkSpace unified end-user computing solution comprises three software solutions that allow organisations to move to a more agile IT service model:

• Centrix WorkSpace Discovery™ - a free tool that provides organisations with a simple way to audit their enterprise desktop environments. WorkSpace Discovery identifies software and hardware assets that are installed across end-user computing environments and identifies where potential savings and optimisation can be made.

• Centrix WorkSpace iQ™ – an end-user computing analytics application for discovering, monitoring and metering the usage and consumption of IT assets, across an organisation’s end-user computing environment. Using WorkSpace iQ organisations can assess the business value of IT assets and services, monitor the adoption of new services and identify where new technology approaches such as SaaS and virtualisation will provide value. It is a powerful solution for developing the business case and deployment plans for desktop transformation projects such as a Windows 7 migration or adoption of desktop virtualisation as well as providing continuous optimisation intelligence across end-user environments.

• Centrix WorkSpace Universal™ - enables organisations to organise, centrally manage and unify the delivery of a diverse set of software and desktop services – including software-as-a-service apps, web services, Windows applications and virtual desktops – and present them as a menu of services and applications to end-users via a secure browser-based workspace. IT can measure the cost of sourcing and delivering applications, while end-users have secure on-demand access to their workspace from any device. WorkSpace Universal provides an Adobe Flash-based Rich Internet Application portal, as well as now supporting access through HTML browsers.
