The hotly anticipated lineup for the Reading and Leeds music festivals was announced at 7pm last night (21st March), when the tickets also went on sale.

Headlining artists The Strokes, My Chemical Romance, Muse will all be preceded on their respective days by a host of great acts including; Deftones, Interpol, Elbow, The National, Jimmy Eat World and 30 Seconds to Mars. A grand total of 48 bands have been announced to be playing over the course of the August bank holiday weekend along with hot up-and-comers We Are The Ocean, the iconic Jane’s Addiction and Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye. The alternative stage is so far set to feature acts from comedians including; Russell Kane, Tim Minchin and Mark Thomas.

Reading Festival takes place at Richfield Avenue on August 26th to 28th and Leeds Festival will take place at Bramham Park across the same Bank Holiday weekend.

Earlybird Reading Festival tickets and Leeds Festival tickets are available at right now. Weekend tickets have sold out within a day for the last three years running so keen fans better act fast.
