- Leading car and home insurance broker adopts smartFOCUS intelligent marketing solutions to increase communication with customer base and gain marketing single customer view (MSCV) -

Hastings Direct, a division of Hastings Insurance Services, has signed a contract with smartFOCUS, a global provider of multi-channel marketing software.

Under the contract Hastings, a leading broker in insurance policies and related products, will adopt smartFOCUS’s marketing database, modelling, campaign management and reporting tools to secure a single customer view and increase the relevance of communications and engagement with prospects across all the company’s brands and throughout the customer lifecycle. Launched in 1997, Hastings Insurance specialises in car, home, van and motorcycle insurance, as well as value-added products such as motor breakdown cover.

smartFOCUS is a developer of multi-channel marketing software that helps companies to maximise marketing engagement and customer loyalty through powerful analysis of data and enhanced customer insight.

Hastings Direct will use smartFOCUS’s full Intelligent Marketing Solution which comprises: Analyzer, powerful visual analytical technique module; Modeler, providing easy and rapid predictive model marketing campaigns; Campaigner for powerful and scalable campaign planning, and production; and Reporter for continuous reporting and measurement in multiple formats. Hastings also made use of smartFOCUS implementation, training, support and maintenance.

Following implementation and testing, the new solution will go live in spring 2011.

The decision to select smartFOCUS was based on the need to increase the marketing team’s direct access to data while increasing campaign relevance, speed and flexibility without the extra costs of external consultants, third-party database agencies or technical support. smartFOCUS will now become the core of a new single marketing database that integrates all customer, prospect and lapsed data, providing a single customer view (SCV). This means that all data-related business tasks - such as campaign management, analysis, modelling and reporting, including the delivery of knowledge to Hasting’s customer service and call centre operations - will be based on the new smartFOCUS database.
