Liberate Cosmetic Surgery: Cheryl's got the X Factor.
New survey reveals that Cheryl Cole has the body most women want!

Cheryl Cole should be on top of the world right now. Not only has she just secured a spot on the judging panel for the US version of the X Factor but a new survey has discovered she has the body most women covet.

A new survey conducted by Liberate, the UK's largest network of BAAPS* and/or BAPRAS**-accredited cosmetic surgeons, reveals that Cheryl Cole has the body that most women want!

Liberate, which has over 60 locations across the UK, surveyed 3000 women between the ages of 18-34 and found that just fewer than 30% of women would most like their body to look like Cheryl Cole. Pussy Cat Doll's Nicole Scherzinger was in second place (19%) and Angelina Jolie & Rhianna tied in third place with 15% of the vote for the most desirable female celebrity body. Although recently voted by People Magazine US as the world’s most beautiful woman surprisingly Jennifer Lopez received only 10% of the vote and Victoria Beckham only 4%.

The survey also found that 30% of women had undergone cosmetic surgery with breast augmentation ("boob job") being the most popular procedure (28%) followed by Nose (17%) eyes (11%) and Liposuction/tummy tuck (15%).

Half the women surveyed would have cosmetic surgery if cost was no object but only a small percentage (17%) would take out a loan to cover this.

The Liberate survey also highlights the need for women to be better informed of the dangers of cosmetic surgery abroad or in the wrong hands. Despite recent deaths following botched surgery abroad, a staggering 40% admitted that they would consider having surgery abroad if it was cheaper.

Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Mr Jonathan Staiano, Liberate, remarked:

‘Cosmetic surgery is a field in which there are many practitioners who rely on glossy marketing and promotion rather than medical and surgical qualifications. Liberate stands for a group of highly qualified plastic surgeons whose reputations are far more important than encouraging patients to have unnecessary or unsafe surgery. We encourage patients to seek second and third opinions and to research your surgeon before allowing him or her to operate on you.’

Without the tools needed to make responsible choices cosmetic surgery can end up costing people financially, physically and psychologically, Liberate aims to give people the power to choose, providing them with a new and safer approach to cosmetic surgery.
