Scottish Health & Beauty Winners

Winning Health and Beauty Talent spread across Scotland

After much anticipation and over 35,000 votes cast by the public, the winners of Scotland's first Health and Beauty awards were revealed today 5pm.co.uk – Scotland’s number one Health and Beauty and restaurant reservation site.

Gongs were handed out to salons, spas and therapists from across the country during a special ceremony at the glamorous Girls’ Day Out event at Glasgow’s SECC.

Winners include Angels Hair Design, Aberdeen for Hairdressing salon of the year, Chamomile Sanctuary, Edinburgh for Beauty Salon of the year, Energie Fitness Club, Oban for Health & Fitness Venue of the year and Sarah Jane Hunter, SJ fitness Glasgow for Health & Fitness Consultant of the year. Celebrity hairdresser Taylor Ferguson was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The full list can be found at the end of this press release.

The award’s shortlist was drawn from thousands of votes made through the 5pm.co.uk website; the site’s expert staff then had the tough job of deciding upon the winners for each category.

Taylor Ferguson, winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award says:

"I'm delighted and surprised to win the Lifetime Achievement Award. I'm so happy for my team who all work very hard and very well together - this is in no way a one-man band. And thanks must go to my dear wife Anne who runs the salon and deals with all of the admin, I couldn't do it without her."

Charles Shaw, Chairman of 5pm.co.uk says:

“Scotland has a quality, thriving Health and Beauty sector and we wanted to celebrate and reward the hard work that goes into making a salon or a spa truly great.”

“We are delighted that our winners come from right across Scotland – from Oban to Dumfries and we hope that the public will try some of these places out for themselves. Of course they’ll find the best health and beauty deals on 5pm.co.uk.”

5pm.co.uk is Scotland’s number one online reservation service. It launched in 2000 to offer users the best daily dining deals and now operates across the UK with over 200,000 registered users. Last year, the site expanded to launch the Health and Beauty section and the Daily Big Deal. A new Takeaway section will launch in the coming weeks.
