The Grant Sous Vide Expert (SVE) range has been enhanced following consultation with leading chefs specialising in sous vide techniques. As a result, all models now feature drain taps to facilitate easy tank emptying, three programmable temperature presets to allow for quick selection of the most often used temperatures, and a new countdown timer with audible buzzer which is a must-have for any busy and noisy professional kitchen.

In addition, to cater for different size establishments, the Grant SVE range now comes in three convenient sizes based on standard gastronorm tanks – 12 litre, 26 litre and a 2x12 litre dual tank bath. Sous vide, a French word meaning ‘under vacuum’, is a process in which food (e.g. a cut of beef or fillet of salmon) is vacuum packed and then slowly cooked at an accurately controlled temperature. The sous vide method enhances the taste and amplifies the flavour of the food as the juices and nutrients are “locked in” the vacuum-sealed pouch. The result is gourmet quality dishes every time.

Sous vide cooking has revolutionised many top restaurant kitchens and is now catching on among chefs and gastronomy experts in mainstream restaurants, gastropubs, cooking schools and in contract caterers.
