Mvine was also one of only two UK companies to have been listed in the Red Herring Global 100 top technology start-ups for 2011. Additionally, Julius Genachowski, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), referenced Mvine as a leading innovator in the Cloud Computing space during his speech at the International Digital Economy Accords in Brussels in March of this year. Frank Joshi comments:

“It was a huge honour to be asked to present and we are delighted that Mvine has once again been recognised for our innovation in technology. I am a huge advocate of British business and I believe that for the UK to stay relevant in the world economy we need to be leading from the front in terms of new ideas and developing technology and services that really work with the way people want to work so that we can compete on a global scale. To have the chance to present at such a prestigious event and to be singled out for the capabilities that we have built into the platform therefore is not just a win for Mvine, but a win for British innovation, which makes me very proud.”

Joshi presented alongside a number of world leading individuals across a breadth of blue chip organisations and senior governmental position, including: Thomas Enders, President and CEO of Airbus, Thomas C Barrett, Director of the European Investment Bank, Bronwyn Curtis, Head of Global Research for HSBC, Laurent Wauquiez, French Minister of European Affairs, James Turley, Chairman and CEO for Ernst & Young, Michel Barnier, European Commissioner for Internal Market and Services, Ana Palacio, Founder of Palacio y Asociados, former Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Vice-President of the World Bank, and many more.

This year’s conference was focused on devising policies to boost Europe’s attractiveness as a place to do business with presentations themed around the topic of “Gearing up European Growth for Global Benefits”. In particular the conference tied in to three key themes:

• Financing growth and innovation
• Accelerating infrastructure connectivity
• Transforming industry and service

Through a series of animated keynotes, panel discussion, plenary sessions, thematic interactive workshops, presentations of innovative growth companies and organised one-on-one meetings, decision makers learnt, discussed, invested and build partnerships, as well as debating and deliberating on the most pressing economic challenges of the moment. The conclusions and recommendations issued from these debates will now be officially presented to the European Union’s executives with the ambition to providing them some concrete proposals to improve Europe’s attractiveness and competitiveness.

Since it has been launched in 2003, over 6,000 world leaders, decision makers and influencers have participated in this unique and high-level conference dedicated to stimulating global economic growth, innovation and promoting promising companies. The event has won worldwide recognition for shaping the future of international investment and the policies that surround global economic growth. The event was also used as a platform for the release of the results of Ernst & Young’s annual survey on the attractiveness of Europe.
