A Solihull solicitor who had previously struggled to complete 2 lengths of a swimming pool has completed a gruelling mile long swim of Lake Windermere – and he puts it all down to the support that he has received from Birmingham based personal coach.
James Hall is a 31 year old private client solicitor working for Meridian Private Clients and his coach is Andrew Pain of Impact Life.
Andrew started working with James nearly a year ago - who wanted to lose weight and adopt a healthier lifestyle.
James has since lost 5 stone of weight, feels more energised and vibrant, has improved his confidence at work and at home. In terms of exercise, he has gone from barely being able to swim two lengths in a pool last September, to completing the British Gas Great North Swim at Lake Windermere - in which one competitor Craig Murphy sadly died.
“I started working on one to one sessions with James on a week-to-week basis. We set out to change what he ate, what he did, how he thought and approached life in general. The sessions were then delivered every fortnight, until a total of 12 sessions had been completed.
James has since lost 5 stone of weight, feels more energised and vibrant, has improved his confidence at work and at home and in terms of exercise, has gone from barely being able to swim two lengths in a pool last September, to entering the Great North Swim and cover 1 mile in open water in Lake Windermere. James completed the mile long swim in under his target of 50 minutes. James is aiming to raise £1,000 for the Charity ‘Mind’ from sponsorship.”
“Andrew has made a huge difference to my life. I was so proud to have completed the swim at Lake Windermere and have plans to do similar events in the future to hit my target of £1,000 for ‘MIND.’ I am also planning to lose another 3 stone in weight.
I have changed the way I approach life in general, my attitude to my health and the way I value myself- and it’s all down to Andrew.
The great news is that I did not have to follow any diets or use dietary supplements. With help from Andrew I have focused more on moderate and gradual portion reduction. I have eaten more "natural" foods whilst limiting my intake of processed food.
I have set myself life goals and Andrew has helped me to put in place, plans to achieve them, and helped me to adopt a more positive attitude towards myself.”
