6th July, 2011, Swiftstake Technologies, provider of real-time marketing intelligence and targeted suggestive selling solutions to the retail sports betting and lottery sector, has today announced the appointment of John Anderson as Non-Executive Director.
The non-executive of 888 and Chairman of the Interactive Gaming Council will provide strategic insight into the gaming sector and help to drive the growth and direction of the business.
“I was introduced to Swiftstake Technologies earlier this year and immediately saw the impact their solutions would have on the regulated gaming sector,” said John Anderson. “Swiftstake will play a vital role in enabling retail lottery and betting operators to increase same-store sales and improve customer retention which is much needed when considering the growth of alternative digital channels.”
Swiftstake Technologies announced its entry into the sports betting and lottery market in May and is already impressing operators with its Bet+ and Lotto+ products. These innovative software solutions help maximise customer interaction and drive activity by positively impacting purchasing decisions.
“I was asked to join the board of the company and had no hesitation - this is one of the most exciting entrants to the regulated gaming sector in some time,” said Anderson.
John Anderson was the Chief Executive Officer of 888 Holdings plc from September 2000 until December 2006. John led 888 Holdings in a successful IPO (Initial Public Offering) on the main listing of the London Stock Exchange in September 2005 capitalizing the Company at £590million. John oversaw a steady rising growth of profits before stepping down in 2006. John remains as a non-executive director of 888.
Leigh Nissim, Commercial Director and UK MD of Swiftstake Technologies said, “John’s appointment to our board is a real endorsement of the approach and strategy we are taking to the regulated gaming sector.”
John is also non-Executive Chairman of Probability (Gibraltar) Limited which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Probability Plc. He is also Chairman of the IGC, the leading online gaming industry body, as well as being deputy Chairman of the GBGA (Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association).
