IS YOUR PET THE STAR OF THE SHOW? Thursday 28 July 2011 PDF Print Are YOU and YOUR FIBREVORE special enough to become the joint faces of Burgess Excel 2012 advertising campaign? Does your rabbit look radiant? Is your chinchilla just too cool? Or do you think your guinea pig is simply gorgeous? Are YOU and YOUR FIBREVORE special enough to become the joint faces of Burgess Excel 2012 advertising campaign? Burgess Excel, the UK’s number one vet recommended food for fibrevores, is holding a nationwide search to find the faces of their 2012 small animal advertising campaign. Taking a starring role, the winning pets and owners will become the faces of The Excel Feeding Plan and will feature in Excel’s 2012 advertising campaign. If you think you and your rabbit, guinea pig or chinchilla have got what it takes, in true audition style, Burgess Excel is calling on you, the owner, to tell us why your pet deserves one of the starring roles. For your pet to be in with a chance of becoming the star of the show, all you have to do is send us a video or a photograph of you and your pet, along with an explanation detailing why your pet should be selected to be our dedicated star of the show email email@example.com by Monday 15th August 2011. Much like the X Factor, a panel of judges will then shortlist the top five entries, who will be sent into the final round. The shortlisted finalists will have their video and photographs uploaded to The Excel website, http://www.excelfeedingplan.com, and will be encouraged to drum up as much support as possible by urging friends and family for their votes. The pet and owner with the most votes will win the star prize; a cash prize of £500 and a year’s supply of Burgess Excel! The judges will be marking pets and their owners on five key areas of responsible pet ownership: environment, behavior, diet, companionship and health. This will include evidence of a nice big hutch, access to exercise, whether they are bonded with a fellow fibrevore, take regular trips to the vet and, most importantly, that they are fed a healthy diet of hay, greens and water.
