•Microsoft year-end proves a triumph for Trustmarque despite a rocky market

York, UK – 10th August, 2011: Today, Value Added Reseller (VAR), Trustmarque Solutions announced it has introduced a new Cloud Readiness Assessment Programme as part of its Office 365 Campaign, which will be running throughout August and September.

Microsoft’s new cloud-based version of its Office software suite, Office 365, was launched last month and has been well-received in the market. However, there is still some confusion in the end-user community about how this will be licensed, what the technology actually offers and how this will fit in with their specific environments. With this in mind, Trustmarque has launched its new Cloud Readiness Assessment service which will help companies to identify the options and suitability of moving to an Office 365 environment. Tom Greed, Microsoft Alliance Manager for Trustmarque Solutions, comments:

“There is a lot of hype around Office 365, and Cloud in general, so this campaign is really designed to cut through all of that and get to the reality. This programme will help customers understand what Office 365 can deliver, the pros and cons, and whether it is right for their business. For example, if you have a geographically diverse workforce that is on the move a lot of the time, then the capability to access data on the move in this way would be very appealing. On the other hand, if you work at a hospital most staff are based on-site and the data stored is highly confidential, so the Return on Investment is reduced. Our main aim is to help our customers to see what is most relevant for them.”

Microsoft’s new offering is well-supported by Trustmarque’s new cloud capabilities following its acquisition of cloud services company Nimbus Technology Systems Ltd earlier this year, making the company particularly well positioned to provide consultancy and expert delivery of the new technology suite.

At Microsoft’s World Partner Conference Trustmarque was selected as a finalist for both the Microsoft’s Outstanding Sales Operations Partner of the Year and Sales Specialist of the Year categories. The prestigious Awards recognise Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the past year. Awards were presented in multiple categories, with winners chosen from a set of more than 3,000 entrants worldwide. Microsoft also announced its year-end results and Trustmarque achieved 110 percent of its target.

Over the past twelve months Trustmarque has invested heavily and has increased the number of Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCPs) to over 50, up from 42 in the previous year, above and beyond its competitors. In addition to this Trustmarque has expanded it Microsoft Competencies and now has three Gold competencies for Microsoft including: Volume Licensing, Desktop and Software Asset Management, as well as achieving Silver status for Server Platform and Mid-market solution provider. Trustmarque has also doubled headcount in its Microsoft services division, and increased the number of in-house Microsoft licensing experts by one third.
