The Stag Company, the UK’s leading provider of stag weekends in the UK and Europe announced the results of a customer survey this week to reveal that 7% of men on stag weekend trips cheat on their significant other. Sister company Hen Heaven also ran a survey of customers returning from their hen weekends which found that women believed that 16% of men cheat on their stag do, revealing a deficit of 9%.

One anonymous comment on the survey read,

“I couldn’t order the kebab I wanted after my stag do, never mind string together a chat-up line”.

In other news, The Stag Company has seen a significant upturn in enquiries for stag parties in 2012. While it’s hard to believe that we’re now entering the final quarter of 2011, it seems thousands of men are already looking ahead to summer 2012 after the company announced a 150% increase in enquiries for 2012 stag nights on the previous year.

After a year of exponential growth, it seems the company will be going from strength to strength in the coming year as yet more men look to sample their original blend of custom-made and pre-built package stag weekends.

One possible explanation for this surge in enquiries and bookings is the increased list of destinations offering these weekends. The latest country to be given The Stag Company treatment is Germany, with a whole raft of new packages and activities offered in the country. These new destinations seem to have done the trick for the company, looking to take an early lead over their competitors going into the new year with the Munich, Hamburg and Berlin stag do faring well in the destination league table.

Rob Hill, Managing Director was optimistic on his company’s hopes for 2012,

“It’s already looking good for next year if you look at where we were this time in 2010. There’s nothing to dispel the notion that if we keep working hard, we can continue to grow.”

The company has seen a massive recruitment drive in the past 12 months, doubling staff in their Brighton-based offices including a brand new marketing team. This new focus on the company’s PR and marketing has seen enquiries soar, not only for 2012, but for stag parties seeking a winter stag weekend.

Hill continues: “Winter stag weekends are a relatively new concept in the industry, but set against the backdrop of a recession, couples are looking at ways to cut costs for their weddings, though I don’t think it would be too mischievous to say that some of these saved pennies more often than not find their way into the beer budget for the stag do, too!”
