o Growth of desktop transformation, cloud computing and virtualisation markets driving interest in how to link IT assets together into unified end-user computing environments
VMworld, Las Vegas – August 30th, 2011: Centrix Software, a provider of unified end-user computing solutions that optimise the way IT infrastructures deliver applications, today announced it has secured $10 million in private funding. The investment will support the company’s product and market development initiatives, as well as its plans to widen operations in the US. The company’s US push follows the appointment of US solutions providers Claros Systems and Asset Labs to its international channel network.
Lisa Hammond, CEO at Centrix Software commented, “Many organisations are at a crossroads in their IT strategy as they battle to reduce their costs and improve services. The number of choices available to these organisations can be huge, and the costs of making the wrong decision can be substantial. Centrix Software helps organisations make the right decisions, based on empirical data about their own IT usage and consumption of services from both internal IT and cloud-based providers. We are delighted to have secured an investment of this scale in such a difficult economic and investment climate. It will be the accelerator for the development of our products and our plans to expand our reach into new markets and to new customers.”
As part of its expansion plans, Centrix Software also announced the formation of Centrix Software Inc., a Delaware corporation with its principal office located in New York, NY.
Centrix Software provides a range of solutions that enable organisations to analyse, plan and optimise how IT services are delivered to users more effectively and efficiently across virtual, web, physical and cloud infrastructure. Its customers include public sector organisations and private enterprises that want to create more agile IT service environments so they can reduce their costs while also providing better levels of service.
Centrix Software WorkSpace products include:
o WorkSpace iQ – gives organisations the ability to see how IT services are really being used across an organisation. With visibility on actual consumption patterns, organisations can reduce the cost of software, manage desktop transformation more efficiently and make fact-based decisions about new IT investments, strategies and IT sourcing methods.
o WorkSpace Universal – is a unified end-user computing platform that allows organisations to link all the applications and services that users require into one workspace environment from different platforms and service providers, and deliver IT-as-a-Service.
o WorkSpace Discovery - a free tool for companies that want to see what applications are installed on their PCs and laptops. WorkSpace Discovery provides IT managers with more information and visibility on what is going on across the organisation’s desktop estate.
