UK’s leading event for software testing and Quality Assurance sees increase in C-level attendees and testing managers at each event
London, UK – 12 September 2011 – TestExpo, the UK’s premier software testing event, has released a snapshot of its registered attendees, highlighting an increase in attendance from managers and C-level decision-makers at each event.
Established in 1996, TestExpo is a free conference and exhibition for software testers and QA professionals held in London twice a year. The next event, themed: ‘A world of difference: testing tomorrow’s applications’ will be held on Thursday 22 September at London’s Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre. Each event attracts between 200-250 attendees, with year-on-year growth averaging five to ten percent. From early registrations, between 250-270 attendees are expected to attend this autumn’s event
Harreet Khara, event manager for TestExpo said: “At each TestExpo we have had a strong representation of hands-on testers and QA professionals – over the years we’ve had phenomenal support from this group – they’re keen to discuss new trends, share best practices and exchange ideas. Yet it’s interesting for us to see how the proportion of managers and decision-makers attending TestExpo increases over time, reflecting the adoption of best practices at a senior level, and management’s increased commitment to understanding the business impact of software testing.”
At this autumn’s TestExpo, highlights will include:
-HP as premium sponsor , alongside market-leading vendors and sponsors including: Microsoft; iTrinegy, an expert in networked application performance; Epicentre, an expert in software testing and consultancy; Greenhat, which delivers a market-leading integrated platform for the automated end-to-end testing; Original Software which embraces the full spectrum of Application Quality Management across a wide range of applications and environments; Seapine Software, a global application lifecycle management (ALM) solutions provider. BCS - the Chartered Institute for IT, SQS and Tricentis will also be exhibiting at the upcoming event.
-Innovation Panel: First launched at TestExpo March 2011, the Innovation Panel is a debate on a broad range of innovation-related topics, the trends driving the testing market, and the definition and application of innovation in software testing.
-Media partnership with Professional Tester, one of the industry’s most respected sources of news and ideas.
Although the largest proportion of attendees is from the UK and mainland Europe, each event also attracts attendees from the Americas, Australia and Asia.
Harreet Khara concluded: “Attendance by testers, managers and executives from across the world is testament to TestExpo’s expanding reach and influence within the global testing community. We’re excited about the upcoming autumn event – more innovation, more changes to our industry and more attendees.”
Now in its 15th year, TestExpo is the premier conference and exhibition for professional software testers in the UK. Free for attendees, TestExpo provides a learning and discussion forum for key testing and QA issues and challenges at its spring and autumn events.
