One-day conference will debate future IT security challenges and solutions, Science Museum, London, 22nd September 2011

Theale, Reading, U.K., 15th September 2011. Integralis, the UK’s largest IT security solutions provider, is pleased to announce that best-selling author and futurist Richard Watson has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at Integralis Security World 2011, a one day conference that will discuss the future of IT security and next generation security challenges at the Science Museum, London on Thursday 22nd September 2011.

Richard Watson is the author of the best-selling book Future Files, and has just published Future Minds, his new book, which looks at how the digital age is changing our minds. As a consultant, he advises organisations including IBM, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and Samsung on planning for the future and the impact trends will have on long-term strategy.

At Integralis Security World, he will examine how rapid technology change combined with world-changing events has created a new world characterised by volatility and uncertainty, and discuss the five forces shaping the foreseeable future – demographic change, global connectivity, a power shift Eastwards, sustainability and GRIN technologies (genetics, robotics, Internet and nanotechnology).

Also joining Integralis at the event are IT security experts, solution providers and their customers, representing the cutting edge of innovation in IT security. They will share their experiences and expertise around key topics such as cloud security, consumerisation of IT and cybercrime.

In an increasingly connected world, an ever growing network of corporate IT systems, national infrastructures and consumer desktops are accessible to cyber-criminals. In response to the growing threat of cybercrime the next generation of security management tools will need to closely align risk assessments and security events against business impact and compliance status. At the same time, mobile devices, social networking, and mobile Internet are blurring the divide between work and leisure, making corporate networks increasingly vulnerable.

“We are gathering some of the best minds in IT security together to tackle these challenges and share their insights,” said, Garry Sidaway, Director of Security Strategy at Integralis. “With numerous business and technology-oriented presentations on all aspects of IT security, we are looking forward to provoking a lively industry debate.”

Confirmed participants include: Check Point Software Technologies Ltd; Juniper Networks; RSA; F5; Websense; Trend Micro; Blue Coat; Skybox; Imperva, Sourcefire; Crossbeam; Osirium; Cirquent; NTT and Tufin. To date, over 350 participants have registered to attend the event.

Integralis Security World 2011 will offer numerous opportunities for speaking directly to the experts with panel sessions and to see first-hand solution demonstrations against the latest security issues in the technology exhibition area. To register for Integralis Security World 2011 go to:
