The award judges were looking to see audio and visual content that enhances customer experience

Online hiking and camping equipment store Simply Hike has reached the final four in the Best Use of Online Content category of the Ecommerce Awards for Excellence .

The prestigious annual awards are the only ones of their kind in the UK and are judged by senior industry professionals. Categories include Best Multi-channel Retailer and Best Use of Social Media.

The award judges were looking to see audio and visual content that enhances customer experience. Simply Hike's 1,000+ product demonstration videos, clear images, informative descriptions and useful advice pages give customers the information they need to make an informed buying decision. The store has introduced on-location tent videos, so that customers can get a real sense of size and proportion, bringing the great outdoors to the screen.

CEO Gerrard Dennis said "We're delighted to have been shortlisted for this award. Our staff put a lot of hard work into making our web content useful and interesting for our customers. The winner will be announced at the Ecommerce Awards for Excellence award ceremony which will take place in London on 11th October.
