Seasoned Professional and Former Avid Technology Sales Director to Lead Atempo’s Expansion in the EMEA Media & Entertainment Market

LONDON, UK., September 20, 2011 – Atempo, a leading provider of cross-platform data protection and archiving solutions, today announced the appointment of Christophe Darras as director of media and broadcast market EMEA. In this role, Darras will be responsible for accelerating digital archiving revenues in the EMEA media and entertainment market and expanding Atempo’s presence in this space by developing key partnerships with leading alliances and resellers in the media industry.

With a proven industry track record, Darras brings over 17 years of experience in sales management of media and broadcast solutions to Atempo. Previously, Darras was the director of sales for Southern Europe at Avid Technology, in charge of managing the sales and pre-sales teams for France, Italy and Spain. Prior to joining Avid Technology, Darras held various sales management positions within technology and media companies including EMC, Thomson Broadcast System (now Technicolor) and Qosmos.
