Beyblade Card Collection Goes Interactive Monday 17 October 2011 PDF Print This was a very complex project and Activate Media has delivered a stunning and engaging website and game Beyblade Card Collection Goes Interactive London 17/10/2011 We are pleased to announce the launch of a new website and associated interactive game for De Agostini Publishing. The site, www.beybladecards.com, has staged releases in multiple European countries including Germany, France, Russia, Portugal and Italy. The interactive website, released in conjunction with the Beyblade card collection from De Agostini Publishing, includes comprehensive information on the collections and also allows players to register and manage their card collections bought from the newsstand. The cards are based on the popular BEYBLADE animated television series from Nelvana and d-rights, Inc. The Flash based interactive game gives players a virtual Beyblade stadium where they can “battle” with cards they have collected. These virtual battles can be with up to four opponents, with wins awarding additional power and bonus cards. The website and the game currently supports five European languages: Russian, French, German, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish. Elliot Kahan at Activate Media said, “This development provides a completely new dimension to the popular hobby of themed card collecting. The site dovetails perfectly with both the collection concept and the game perfectly follows Beyblade’s philosophy.” “The new website and interactive game takes the Beyblade card experience to the next level,” said Colin Bohm, Managing Director, Nelvana Enterprises. “We are excited to be working with our partners Activate Media and De Agostini on this thrilling new dimension of the Beyblade experience. “ Activate Media were responsible for the entire build, including the Website design and development, flexible Content Management System and interactive game. James Franks Marketing Director at De Agostini said: “This was a very complex project and Activate Media has delivered a stunning and engaging website and game. They worked tirelessly with us from the initial design phase and then fully managed the development of the project through to its deployment”.
