'What Is Credit Rating?' by aqua card

aqua card, provider of credit cards for bad credit, has released a new infographic today which will help the UK public understand personal credit rating better.

The in-depth graphic, has been designed with the aim of explaining what affects a credit rating, how it is calculated by credit agencies and how to improve a personal credit score.

It covers useful information such as what makes a high or low risk borrower, as well as what information lenders use to make credit decisions.

The specialist lender is the first UK financial company to cover this topic with an infographic.

Emma Davis, an online manager at aqua card says: "We discovered that around 165,000 online searches are made each month in the UK for the phrase: 'what is credit rating?' and that people are discussing various myths and legends in financial forums. There is a lot of fear and confusion from people so we decided to clear things up and explain the truth simply."

A common misconception among people is that creditors can see if an applicant has been declined credit and that if they have, they will be less likely to be approved for credit. This is a complete myth; creditors can only see if a person has applied for credit, not what the result was.

Emma continues: "We realise that lots of complex financial copy on a webpage can be overwhelming for customers, so creating an infographic was the perfect way to explain a detailed topic in a clear and concise format."

The information in the What is Credit Rating? infographic has been compiled with the help of the expert finance team at aqua card. For more information on how to repair bad credit visit
