Re-vamped product suite to offer customers improved efficiency and enhanced functionality

1 November 2011 – Document management and imaging software author, Version One is launching Release 2.2 (R2.2), the latest version of its cutting-edge document management product suite.

R2.2 will offer a complete modernisation of Version One's paperless office solutions, securing the company’s market-leading position and ensuring even more business efficiencies for customers.

Julian Buck, Version One’s Managing Director says, “Release 2.2 is a significant product release for us and will provide our customers with a complete technology refresh, including significant new functionality and an improved and consistent look and feel across all products.

The new technology will also provide a solid platform allowing us to be more responsive to customer needs and enable us to bring new products to market much more quickly.”

Customers will benefit from new features including ‘one-click’ scanning and new ‘drag and drop’ manipulations of documents, which will save time and increase ease of use. R2.2 will also offer a brand new search tool, DbWebRetrieve, which will enable end-users to personally tailor their viewing experience, enabling them to view documents more quickly and efficiently. The new DbLogin function will also provide centralised user management and support for Windows logins.

R2.2 is multi-lingual and will be used in more than 30 countries. The software can also be used throughout the whole organisation, in areas such as HR and CRM. The styling features will offer a familiar user interface particularly when tightly integrated with other systems and in OEM environments.

The product suite will run on the latest platforms including Windows 7, MS Server 2008 R2 in line with the expectations of UK Business.
