Mecom deploys Execview’s Enterprise Platform for strategic outsourcing management

London, UK - Execview, providers of the ground-breaking Enterprise Platform for delivering and managing business transformation, operational excellence and strategic outcomes, has signed a contract with Mecom, the major multi-platform European media organisation. Mecom will initially use Execview’s platform to support and manage a strategic management outsourcing project with India’s global technology and IT enterprise company HCL. The new contract adds to Execview’s portfolio of broadcast (media and publishing) customers, which includes the BBC, ITV and others.

Mecom publish hundreds of paid-for daily titles and free-sheet papers, operating over 200 digital channels and occupying a leading position in the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark and Poland. The Execview platform is playing a key part in Mecom’s outsourcing of its IT support needs to HCL, giving Mecom a programme management tool for its strategic goals, mapping of high level dependencies, stakeholder management, prioritisation and executive reporting. Mecom chose Execview because of its reputation, its proven positive impact on business, ease of use; the solution’s implementation is to ensure Mecom achieve all the planned benefits from the outsourcing program.

“Outsourcing is a major move for Mecom and implementation of the Execview Enterprise platform supports this move,” said Torben Lundberg, Mecom’s Programme Director. “We’re using it to manage and govern the performance of HCL, and as part of our entire transition and transformation programme. We will also measure the benefits we realise from our strategic outsourcing initiative.”

Execview will provide quick, consistent and effective capabilities for registering, managing and reporting transition project activities, as well as operational key performance indicators as defined in a service level agreement. Crucially, the solution enables Mecom to maintain a small focused team for the outsourcing programme, avoiding the ongoing expense and need for the media group to build a bigger team in order to deliver against the strategic goals.

Torben Lundberg of Mecom explained: “For little upfront expense and minimal risk we’ve gained leading enterprise management capabilities through Execview. We’re making savings because it empowers our small focused team to do their jobs without the extra costs of more staff or third party consultants. The strength of Execview is not just its programme and project management. More importantly, it’s about quality of executive and senior management reporting. Making sure senior teams have the right information to make the best decisions at the right time about the programme. “

Execview’s Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Randall, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Mecom to our growing portfolio of media clients. Execview provides media and publishing and their service providers with a fully-integrated platform for delivery management, reporting and governance. It is proving to be very popular in the media.”

Stephen Randall added: “One major reason is its no capital outlay low risk approach. Delivered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) enterprise platform, it can be embraced with ease by media organisations. With little effort they can get a multi-broadcaster, multi-service provider portal for managing the service across hundreds of clients, suppliers, and channels – and all of that with full security and service integrity.”
