Leeds - 23 November 2011 – CSI, one of the UK’s leading business system integrators, has today launched, a new website dedicated to helping partners and businesses maximise the potential of their mobile environment. To mark the launch, CSI is offering visitors to the new online portal, one of the first of its kind in the UK, a 50% discount off of the company’s Mobile Readiness Assessment package.

CSI’s Mobile Readiness Assessment provides organisations with a complete health check of their existing mobile framework, everything from the devices and applications deployed through to their approach to maintenance and security. CSI’s specialised consultancy service will cost £2,600 for a limited period of time and gives IT departments the ideal opportunity to create a coherent strategy that maximises the potential and minimises the cost of running a sophisticated mobile infrastructure. By taking advantage of CSI’s special offer, IT departments will be better placed to ensure all staff are equipped with intuitive mobile applications that can assess corporate data in real-time across reliable, scalable networks in a totally secure way.

Commenting on the launch of, Jon Rail, Mobile Solutions Division Manager at CSI said, "IT Departments are facing ever increasing expectations from their board of directors and customers for feature-rich mobile applications. The scope of mobilisation is huge ranging from simple email delivered to the mobile phones of workers who are often away from their desk, business analytics on iPads for executives to complex transactional applications on rugged devices for field-based staff.”

He continued, "If IT Departments are not able to respond rapidly to their colleagues’ demands and do not have a comprehensive strategy to deal with multiple device types, interfaces and data sources and cannot guarantee the security of corporate information then 'islands' of diverse solutions will emerge that are costly and a nightmare to maintain. CSI’s new online portal provides the vital guidance and advice IT directors need to address these challenges.”

Established in 1983, CSI has a wealth of experience in mobile workforce enablement. One of the company’s most high-profile customers, Hillarys Blinds, has recently deployed CSI’s Mobile Enterprise Application Platform to improve customer service, taking advantage of CSI’s strong integration expertise to extend the customer’s tracking capabilities to remote locations.

Julian Bond, Head of Information and Communications Technology at Hillarys Blinds, said, “We looked at a number of technologies but for us, the key part of the CSI solution was its ability to integrate to our core SAP software system. This reduces the cost of maintenance, adds capability to our existing investment, minimises user training and delivers many additional benefits.”

CSI supplies customers with everything they need to mobilise their enterprise: hardware, connectivity, packaged and bespoke applications for specific client or hosted landscapes as well as solutions designed to meet the rising demand for cloud-based environments.
