TAAP’s compliance applications have most recently been employed by a large healthcare recruitment specialist who provides workers for a wide range of temporary placements, from doctors to specialist nurses across the NHS and private sectors.
The company invests heavily in screening all applicants and with 150-300 checks per individual and over 5,000 active staff on the database, they needed a solution which reduced paperwork and accelerated the compliance process.
TAAP provided a system which enables the recruiter to make numerous checks on each applicant, and to store, search, and report on the details of relevant documentation using a solution based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM, which was customised to the client’s requirements.
Because the recruitment process is slowed down if any of the compliance issues are not met, the system helps to flag up issues and ensure that any documentation or checks which needs chasing or authorising are done so more quickly than it would be if the forms were on paper. The interview process is also standardised so each candidate goes through the same registration process for their particular type of role.
The system is designed not only for improving the registration process of suitable candidates, but for ensuring documentation and other necessary checks are up to date at all times, including the period where the candidate is already at an employment placement.
As all documentation which has an expiry date is logged, the system flags these up when they are nearing their expiry date so that they can be renewed. If the documentation expires, then the candidate then becomes non-compliant.
Non-compliant candidates are placed automatically within a ‘queue’ to be dealt with by the compliance team. This means candidate placement times are improved and vacancies are filled with suitably compliant candidates, thus making the business more efficient and effective.
As with any industry which requires compliance checks, TAAP’s applications can be used to replicate and improve upon the processes which are already taking place.
By using forms on mobile devices, the compliance checks can be started while outside an office environment – for example at a recruitment fair or an outdoor event.
