The London College of Garden Design’s hugely successful info burst courses step up a notch next year with a series of evenings focused on getting the very best when you select, handle and maintain plants.
The three speakers are leading experts in their fields making this an event not to be missed. Richard Barnard, Nick Coslett and Stephen Crisp will come together over three evenings to present the latest ideas and best practice for production, selection and handling of plants and planting schemes. The series finishes with a look at some of the best aftercare strategies for managing modern plantings.

The Info Burst courses are run every season and attract a diverse audience that includes practicing professional designers and landscapers as well as the students currently studying for their Garden Design Diploma at the London College of Garden Design.
About the Info Burst Season
Plant production and selection (17th January): Nick Coslett is the Marketing & Sales Manager at Palmstead Nurseries and is responsible for running the sales and dispatch teams. He will take us through the process of how plants are produced in a modern hi-tech nursery, what designers and landscapers need to know to get the most from their plant selection and correct plant use, and what to look out for when building a relationship with a nursery.
Plant handling (7th February): Richard Barnard, MD of Hillier Landscapes and Vice-Chairman of APL will guide us through the best selection techniques, transporting and planting of mature trees on site. In particular he will discuss how we might select the right trees for the right site. He will also review the selection and planting of herbaceous plant stock for large perennial plantings.
Plant aftercare strategies (6th March): Stephen Crisp, Head Gardener at Winfield House (the US Ambassador's Residence in London) will show us some of the best aftercare strategies for modern plantings. He will discuss how he manages to achieve high standards of presentation and management of the landscape detail, with a limited staff and resources.
