Success underpinned by 60% increase in staff and 20% increase in channel partners

Cisco Live, London ─ January 31, 2011 ─ Ipswitch Inc.’s Network Management Division, developer of the WhatsUp Gold suite of innovative IT management solutions, today announced an increase of 31% in UK year on year revenue. Buoyed by 60% growth in European staff and a 20% increase in European resellers, Ipswitch Network Management Division’s successful expansion reflects the growing demand for its products and services from its booming customer base.

Significant new appointments over the past quarter alone have included Simon Bell as International Solution Sales Engineer; Chiara Ornigotti as Southern EMEA Business Development Manager and Sven Hoge as Channel Development Manager for Germany. In addition, Paolo Ferrari was promoted to Manager, International Sales Engineers.

The previous twelve months have seen several landmark events for Ipswitch, with the company celebrating its 20th anniversary; the launch of WhatsUp Gold v15 – its most well-received version to date; and the announcement of a plethora of new and unique plug-ins designed to meet the needs of modern disparate and virtualised network environments.

The commercial success of the past year has also had a positive effect on Ipswitch’s iCare programme, where five percent of the company’s profits are donated to a variety of community schemes worldwide. To put the iCare programme into perspective, if Apple were to do the same, its charitable donations would top $2 billion annually.

“WhatsUp Gold has become firmly established as one of the top solutions worldwide for companies deploying and managing increasingly disparate network infrastructure in both traditional and on private clouds,” said Ennio Carboni, president of Ipswitch’s Network Management Division. “The growth over the past year has proved companies will continue to have the desire to make better, faster decisions with 360° visibility, actionable intelligence and complete control of their network.”
