LONDON – Feb 22nd, 2012 - London’s newest and most exciting technology event: Digital London is selling fast with 600 attendees already signed up. The live and digital summit and showcase of technologies will connect all areas of innovation, technology and creativity in the digital sector, pulling together thought-leaders within the industry. The event takes place 13th-14th March at London’s ExCeL centre and companies such as IBM, Qualcomm, Yammer, Google, Adobe Systems, and Microsoft will be exhibiting and providing speakers.

The event is a must-attend for anyone in the digital sphere. Described by the Mayor of London as, ‘a fantastic showcase for the city,’ Digital London will exhibit how London will become one of the most digitally connected big cities in the world and complement the Prime Minister’s Tech City UK initiative.

Digital London is split into two areas, the Summit Conference, which will see policy makers, leading analysts, CEOs and CTOs from across the globe, come together to discuss all things digital, and the showcase and seminars covering key enabling technologies and platforms, including some interesting talks on topics such as ‘How Social Networking will change the way we work’ and ‘Creating and Enabling Tech City’.

Confirmed speakers include Nigel Shadbolt, who along with Tim Berners-Lee was recently announced as the co-chairman of the government’s new Open Data Institute, and Matt Brittin, VP of Northern and Central Europe for Google. High on the list of debates will be issues such as the Open Government Data Initiative, Digital Cities & Smart Infrastructure, and Platforms for Innovation.
