BARCELONA (MWC STAND: HALL 2 #2J01), February 28, 2012 – Case-Mate®, designer of innovative accessories for mobile devices and electronics, today announced the launch of a new online personalisation experience for UK and European consumers.

The ‘Do It Yourself’ (DIY) online tool enables consumers to upload their own photos, images, logos and artwork to create a completely one-of-a-kind case. Users begin by selecting a device then choosing a case. Case-Mate offers three case options for those who desire different levels of protection and functionality. These options include Barely There, Tough and ID case. Next, users can upload images from their computer or from the popular social media platform, Facebook. Consumers can then get creative with a variety of template options for their photos, including a fun photo booth look. Custom cases are available for iPhone 4 & iPhone 4S, iPhone 3GS, iPod, BlackBerry and more.

“More and more we see people using their mobile phone cases to express their personalities and personal style, said Shashi Reddy, founder and CEO of Case-Mate. “The DIY platform by Case-Mate connects this desire for self-expression with today’s most popular social outlets for self expression. We’ve seen DIY take off in the U.S. and are excited to bring the technology to the UK and Europe.”

Another custom case experience offered by Case-Mate is called ‘I Make My Case’ This online tool allows users to create their own original case design by re-mixing the designs of internationally-renowned graphic artists and musicians, including British-born Thomas Hooper and British electronic group, Underworld.

‘I Make My Case’ allows users to choose all elements of their case starting with the background colour scheme and shade. From there they can pull in a variety of elements created by the artists. The design is completed with an array of tools to create unique effects. Consumers who want the end-result without the effort can purchase a pre-designed case from the site as well.

Case-Mate uses a state-of-the-art printing process that ensures the printed design will not scratch or abrade with daily use. The image wraps completely around the sides of the case providing full 3D coverage.

Demonstrations of the customisation tool are available at stand 2J01 in Hall 2, at the Mobile World Congress conference in Barcelona, Spain.
