Begin a nationwide outdoor adventure in the UK’s only truly coastal National Park and grab the chance to win top of the range Merrell outdoor gear. That’s the challenge from the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, which has joined the other 14 National Parks across the UK to promote a visitor passport scheme in partnership with outdoor footwear and apparel specialist Merrell. What better way is there to take an UK activity holiday in Wales?

UK National Parks Visitor Passports are now available on the Merrell UK website www.merrell.com/UK/en/Nationalparks and whenever you buy Merrell gear in stores across the UK. By getting their passport stamped in each of the 15 National Parks, visitors have a lasting memory of their unique experience of outdoor adventure and discovery. They also have a chance to win a pair of Merrell footwear.

Chairman of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority Cllr Tony Brinsden said: “Where better to begin exploring the most special places in the UK than in the country’s only mainly coastal National Park?

“We are always working to encourage people of all ages to get out and make the most of the Pembrokeshire Coast. We have it all here: golden beaches, a world of water sports and a wealth of wildlife.

“Once people have had their passports stamped in Pembrokeshire, we and our fellow Park Authorities are inviting people to take their love of the outdoors right across England, Scotland and Wales.”

A diverse combination of mountains, meadows, moorlands, woods, wetlands and coastline will greet people on their UK activity holiday and people can post updates of their adventures online on each Park Authority’s Facebook pages.

Emily Carr, Marketing Executive at Merrell, added: “Merrell encourages everyone to ‘Get Outside’ and make the most of the wonderful British landscape… so we’re delighted to help enhance the adventures of outdoor enthusiasts whilst tracking their progress using the UK National Parks Visitor Passports.”
