Not only did Stedman Corporate Clothing meet the deadline, but the quality is as expected and the entire process has been stress-free

Stedman Corporate Clothing Ltd has announced the successful launch of a new uniform range for the National Portrait Gallery. The National gallery, based in London, which holds the most extensive collection of portraits in the world, selected Stedman Corporate Clothing to create new staff uniforms in advance of its showcase exhibition of Lucian Freud portraits in February.

Stedman Corporate Clothing has successfully rolled-out new shirts, blouses, sleeveless jumpers and a bespoke design tie to the Gallery’s 60 full-time staff and 123 flexible team members. Accessories have also been created, including branded name badges and lanyards for use with the required security passes.

Kim Francis, Senior Visitor Services Operations Manager, National Portrait Gallery said: “Being a gallery we have a keen eye on aesthetics and were keen to deliver a refreshed new look for our staff uniforms for a number of reasons. With our major Lucian Freud exhibition planned to open on 9th February, we set a deadline to have the new uniforms fully launched in readiness for the opening. The team at Stedman Corporate Clothing was excellent at providing ideas, easy to work with and was also competitively priced. They have been very responsive to what we needed and the design process was very smooth.”

Concludes Kim Francis: “The shirt was adapted from a red colour, which was difficult to reproduce to the exact shade, to a flattering sky blue, which our team were very pleased with. We now also have a bespoke burgundy tie that incorporates Gallery’s logo. Teamed with navy tailoring, it looks extremely presentable and everyone is really pleased with the finished look. Not only did Stedman Corporate Clothing meet the deadline, but the quality is as expected and the entire process has been stress-free.”

Teresa Stedman, managing director of Stedman Corporate Clothing said, “It’s been great working alongside the National Portrait Gallery to help design the new uniform collection for their staff. The uniform has been successfully rolled out to the Gallery’s staff, from visitor service assistants through to security and I’m pleased to report that we were able to fully complete the brief, delivering the uniforms with over a month to the opening of one of its highlight displays of the year.”
