AlcoDigital French NF Breathalyzer

Only NF-approved Breathalyzers will satisfy the new regulation

Following the announcement requiring every vehicle driving through France to carry a Breathalyzer kit, market leaders Contralco – France’s largest breathalyser manufacturer – have appointed UK-company AlcoDigital to represent them in the UK & Ireland.

AlcoDigital are the company behind the award-winning AlcoDigital 3000 Digital Breathalyzer that recently won top honours in the 2011 What Car? Breathalyzer Review, and already supply a wide range of Breathalyzers from companies like Draeger and AlcoHawk through their website

Only NF-approved Breathalyzers will satisfy the new regulation and Contralco are the only company in Europe currently able to produce NF-approved tubes. Although little known in the UK, Contralco supply the French Gendarme - so their products are already very familiar to those tasked with enforcing the new law!

Not surprisingly, with over 30 Million cars in France alone, demand has rocketed in the past few weeks. New machines are on order and Contralco factories have been working 24/7 but supplies are still extremely short. Retailers looking to stock them and individuals wanting to make sure they’re covered are advised to place orders sooner rather than later as demand will only increase as the summer draws near.

Contralco NF-Approved Breathalyzer Kits can be ordered online direct from and Amazon and will shortly be available through a variety of high street outlets.

Retailers interested in stocking the devices for sale across the counter should contact AlcoDigital via email -, call 0208 454 7372 or via the website
