FT Pipeline Systems, the leading supplier of steel water pipes for the UK construction industry, has just launched a brand new technical centre, aimed at providing additional value to both existing and potential customers through its website.

A new addition to the FT Pipeline Systems website which will be found in the Technical Centre is the Pressure Rating Calculator. This provides customers with a means of working out the degree of pressure any high-pressure water pipes would be able to withstand based on their thickness and diameter, within for example a water mains or pumping facility.

The new Technical Centre will also provide a home for the existing pipe weight calculator, which allows potential buyers to calculate the weight of the pipes that they would need to purchase and transport for any pipe network they are considering for construction. Combined, the two tools add a great deal of value to the existing FT Pipeline Systems domain.

Duncan Frazer, CEO of FT Pipeline Systems, said: “Our new Technical Centre aims to help both existing and potential customers to calculate some of the values in terms of their pipe networks themselves, allowing them to approach us with a clearer picture in mind when it comes to the pipeline system required.

“The Technical Centre is entirely free to use – all visitors need to do is register with an email address to gain access. Overall the calculators are very useful for our customers to make an informed decision regarding their pipe networks.”

FT Pipeline Systems has been supplying water pipes to the UK construction industry for over 25 years. Based in Staffordshire, the business also supplies a range of solutions for sewage and slurry pipe networks.
