First Choice, the home of All Inclusive, is to make it even easier for customers to measure the benefits of taking an all-inclusive holiday with their new ‘calculator’ tool. Available from this week via the link on the First Choice blog, customers contemplating an all-inclusive holiday can measure the cost implications against a self-catering holiday.

Research* commissioned by First Choice and carried out by two willing families, showed that opting for an All Inclusive holiday saved a family of four in the region of £500 over the course of a week. Directly comparing a self-catering holiday in Tenerife to an all-inclusive holiday at the First Choice Holiday Village, the findings represented real savings on every day purchases such as dinner, drinks and washing up liquid – things that are all taken care of on an all-inclusive holiday.

Designed to highlight the benefits of an all-inclusive holiday, the calculator takes the customer through the selection process in a fun and light-hearted way. Using colourful illustrations, the application lets customers choose one week or two; a couple’s holiday or a trip for a family; a far flung exotic destination or somewhere closer to home with a water park. It even then goes on to ask whether the customer would be looking at three meals-a-day, how many beers, wine and soft drinks they would consume in a day and even how many ice-creams the holidaymakers are likely to eat.

Once all this information has been collated, the simple device takes the prospective holiday maker on a journey, accentuating the key price points along the way that make up a holiday. The flight and the transfers are priced up first, followed by the accommodation, the cost of food and beverages throughout the holiday. The details are then gathered and two estimated holiday prices are offered – one non all-inclusive holiday, and one First Choice All Inclusive holiday.

The app then allows customers to link directly through to the First Choice website to search for and book an All Inclusive holiday.

This entertaining tool is not designed to offer a formal holiday quote, but rather to showcase the value benefits of a First Choice All Inclusive to holidaymakers.
