Ninty percent of companies reported cutting costs in 2009 in the midst of the global recession, according to study conducted by PerDM. Outsourcing sales and marketing divisions has since been identified as a growing trend.

With market pressures on the rise, many companies have found it both profitable and cost-effective to outsource sales to third party companies in order to focus more on core business aspects and perform more efficiently. 'Utilising companies that specialise in the sales and marketing services will not only reduce costs for businesses but will also save them time and resources. It allows them to concentrate on providing excellent customer service and retaining the customers they have, which has proven a key strategic development for service organisations over the last 15 to 20 years. Recruiting a specialist company eliminates work, enhances productivity and service quality as well as delivers exceptional results' says PerDM's Director Ian Attwood.

Outsourcing is still a relatively new concept for some businesses, yet the current state of the economy is making it an increasingly attractive option. More and more companies are seeking ways to cut costs without sacrificing quality of service and are turning to outsourcing companies to help raise brand awareness, assist in acquiring new customers and improve their overall business. 'Many companies are now becoming more aware of the benefits of outsourcing. They are realising that they can work together with outsourced companies to create plans for sales growth based on their own goals and objectives and then leave that area of their business in the capable hands of experts, refocusing their attention to other initiatives' Ian Attwood of PerDM explains.

As an outsourced field marketing agency, PerDM has witnessed firsthand a noticeable uplift in the market. 'Business owners are now able to see the value of outsourcing - they can see that with the right partnerships they can take a step back and watch their businesses develop and grow’ continues PerDM’s Director Ian Attwood.

In representing such broad portfolios in an ever-changing economy, PerDM is confident outsourced sales and marketing companies will remain perpetual leaders in the sector not only through having an invaluable understanding of the market but also having the ability to target businesses best prospects and build relationships that will create rapid expansion and a repeatable revenue stream.

PerDM was established in August 2005 in response to the UK markets need for a field sales organisation capable of delivering high quality results with consistency and reliability.

The company was formed by a group of former UK financial services executives and senior executives from the leading North American field sales agency and since 2005 we have continually recruited leading figures from the B2C and B2B business arena.

PerDM have expanded rapidly with offices across the Republic of Ireland, South Africa, Brazil and North America - a true Global field sales and marketing company.
