Insight has once again been successful in obtaining a place on three Lots of a very important software framework
Insight UK, a Fortune 500 global technology leader and Public Sector IT services specialist, has announced that it has successfully obtained a place on three Lots of the Pro5 Framework Agreement for the supply and delivery for software products and associated services.
Pro5 comprises five of the largest public sector professional buying organisations in the UK with a combined purchasing power in excess of £2 billion per year.
Together, these buying organisations represent more than 200 local authorities and funded bodies. Through their Pro5 grouping they are making significant savings in procurement for the benefit of public sector bodies throughout England and Wales. The five buying organisations of Pro5 are: Central Buying Consortium (CBC), Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO), North East Purchasing Organisation (NEPO), West Mercia Supplies (WMS) and Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation (YPO).
The Framework Agreement is for the provision of software products and associated services compromising four Lots: Microsoft, Security, Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and Educational. For its part Insight was successful in the first three.
Guy Beaudin, Public Sector Business Development Director, Insight UK, said: “Insight has once again been successful in obtaining a place on three Lots of a very important software framework. With the expected demise of the CITHS framework, this Pro5 agreement is one of the few places where public sector buyers will turn to for Microsoft, Security and COTS software products and licenses under a national framework.”
He added: “Insight is now able to continue to serve its Pro5 customers who depend on Insight’s myEATM Portal and SAM Practice – two market leading services that clearly differentiated Insight in this tender process.”
