Guest Speaker Matthew Eastwood from Leading Analyst Firm Looks at the Evolution of the Data Centre and Challenges Posed by Virtualisation

Crossbeam Systems, Inc., the leading provider of next-generation security platforms for high-performance networks, today announced a webinar titled “Evolving to the Next-Gen Data Centre” with guest speaker Matthew Eastwood, group vice president and general manager of IDC’s Enterprise Platform Group, that will take an in-depth look at securing and accelerating virtualised servers and private clouds.

What/When: “Evolving to the Next-Gen Data Centre” webinar will be held during the following times:

• Tuesday, May 8, 2012: 7 a.m. BST
• Thursday, May 17, 2012: 4 p.m. BST

Eastwood will discuss the evolution of the data centre and the challenges IT organisations face as they migrate their infrastructure to Next Generation Data Centres (NGDCs) and look to take advantage of the benefits of the private cloud. In particular, the webinar will focus on the unique requirements of network security and the difficulty of adapting this infrastructure to meet the demands of these highly virtualised and dynamic environments. Brian Robertson, Crossbeam’s product marketing manager, will share highlights from Crossbeam’s recent survey, which cites network security as the number one reason IT organisations are stalled in their NGDC efforts. He will also discuss how Crossbeam and its strategic partners McAfee and Brocade can help organisations overcome this obstacle to advance the state of their data centres and protect their private clouds.

Sponsors: Crossbeam is hosting this webinar with sponsorship from partners McAfee and Brocade.
