Work is due to finish in June, in the meantime it is definitely business as usual.
On the 19th of February work began on the vast renovation program that has been carefully planned for Rudell’s Wolverhampton showroom.
Rudells have been working very closely in conjunction with John Beasley, head of the Wolverhampton Heritage Committee, the Planning Committee and Quattrocento to ensure that the new designs are sympathetic with the style and age of the building. Their advice and guidance have been invaluable.
Features from the 1930's will be incorporated throughout the windows in keeping with the original designs and Rudells are also having the entire signage and roof renovated or replaced where necessary. Work is not only being undertaken on the exterior of the building. Internally the displays are being restructured to incorporate watch and jewellery branded cabinets, again working hard to house both traditional and contemporary looks.
Work is due to finish in June, in the meantime it is definitely business as usual. The planning has been done in such a manner that there will be as little disruption as possible.
Jon Weston Managing director commented, “After two years in the planning, it's very exciting to see the work start. I can't wait to see the renovated fascia and our new windows. The new shop front will reflect our traditional core values as a family jeweller, whilst allowing us to combine a modern feel to the displays. The interior will also undergo several changes and will feature a dedicated watch and jewellery salon with several branded cabinets. Rudells is a flagship showroom in Wolverhampton and I feel it is very important to constantly re-invest in the area for the future of our company and that of the city. Exciting times!”
