London, UK: Atlanta Technology, the IT solutions specialist, has been selected by Gallions Housing Association to manage its third-line IT support requirements. The organisation, which manages over 6,000 properties in six London boroughs and employs almost 200 people, has signed a support contract with Atlanta to provide vital third-line technical support alongside the internal IT team, in addition to managing a number of bespoke strategic projects.
Gallions Housing Association is working with the team at Atlanta to deliver additional support when staff are unavailable, or when an additional skill-set or technical experience is required. In addition, Ali Jaffri, ICT Manager at Gallions Housing Association has tasked the team with a number of specific tasks, as he explains;
“In addition to providing third-line support, Atlanta Technology has been fully involved in the renewal of our VMware and storage contracts, where they have negotiated good pricing and terms on our behalf. Also, prior to signing Atlanta we received a quotation for £10,000 from another supplier to improve the performance of our disaster recovery system. However Atlanta has since been able to reconfigure the DR system to match the required performance levels at no extra cost, which is a direct saving as far as I am concerned.”
