The South East Health Technologies Alliance (SEHTA) has launched several new initiatives and services for individuals, companies and other organisations involved in the health technologies sector, including a comprehensive new membership programme and access to a team of expert advisers.
Founded in 2005, SEHTA has become one of the largest health technology networking organisations in the UK and Europe and provides significant support to companies, universities, and public and private health providers.
SEHTA’s new membership programme has been tailored to provide different levels of benefits to members, accommodating the needs of different types of organisations, from start-up enterprises to large corporations. As part of its new service offering, SEHTA has also put together a team of expert associates in telecare, telehealth, diagnostics, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and public health, to provide sector-specific advice.
“SEHTA has been through many changes over the past year, including the formation of a wholly-owned commercial subsidiary, SEHTA Enterprises,” says Dr David Parry, CEO of SEHTA. “This has presented us with the opportunity to provide more and improved services to members, as well as access to commercial opportunities for the benefit of our membership as a whole.“
SEHTA members can now benefit from business support services including: access to finance, business planning, horizon scanning, and industry, academic and health professional contacts.
As part of its strategy to create wider opportunities for members, SEHTA has also significantly strengthened its links with the NHS, especially with NHS South, which recognises that a pre-requisite to deliver the new NHS ‘Innovation Health and Wealth’ agenda requires closer engagement with industry.
