Protecting the world’s IP and putting an end to targeted attacks
18 – 19 June 2012, Copthorne Tara Hotel, London

18 June 2012 - Waltham, Mass./London, UK - Bit9, the global leader in Advanced Threat Protection, today announced that Mandeep Sandhu, EMEA Technical Manager, will speak at the Cyber Defence UK 2012 conference taking place in London on 18-19 June 2012. The event will bring together key stakeholders and renowned industry influencers from across the world to discuss the continuing, as well as future, key cyber defence challenges and opportunities for the armed forces and security services.

In his presentation, titled ‘Protecting the world’s IP – putting an end to targeted attacks,’ Mandeep will examine how implementing a trust-based approach to security can strengthen an organisations security posture and stop Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs).

As reactive security solutions fail to keep pace with the fast evolving cyber threats, Mandeep’s presentation will discuss, through a real-world example, how this approach can help the military and other defence organisations, mitigate the threat of advanced attacks in order to protect their infrastructure and intellectual property against data theft.

Mandeep is the EMEA Technical Manager at Bit9. He has 13 years experience working in computing and network security, previously working at Aladdin and Optenet.

Cyber Defence UK is now in its fifth year and the 2012 conference will focus on the threat cyber security poses to the armed forces, especially with military cyber systems now having far greater integration and interaction via the Internet. The key question that the conference will look to answer is how can armed forces improve their defensive systems as well as strengthen their cyber capabilities in order to turn cyber defence into pre-emption? Bit9 is the lead sponsor of the event and more information can be found here:
