In 2012, London will host the Olympic Games for the third time, becoming the only city to do so. Supporting the Games are the official sponsors and Rudell the Jewellers are proud to be stockists of Omega and Links of London who are the timekeeping and jewellery sponsors respectively.

The Olympics and Omega have had a long and successful timekeeping history together. They assumed this role in 1932 and are now celebrating their 80th anniversary of being the Official Timekeeper. This year Omega returns to the city where, for the 25th time, they will assume our Olympic timekeeping role. 2012 is an important anniversary, the last time the Games were contested in London, in 1948, it marked the birth of modern sports timekeeping that we know today.

To commemorate, Omega has introduced special editions of its Seamaster Aqua Terra collection with distinctive blue dials. The Aqua Terra wristwatches, with the unmistakable vertical lines on their dials, are among the brand’s most popular products and the watches in the Olympic Collection will be cherished keepsakes from the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The “London 2012” 44 mm Aqua Terra Co-Axial Chronograph is available from Rudell the Jewellers in two versions. One features a bi-colour polished and brushed case crafted from 18 carat red gold and stainless steel and presented on an integrated dark blue leather strap. The other is a stainless steel edition with a matching bracelet. Their casebacks are stamped with the “London 2012” Olympic emblem.

The British jewellery company Links of London are the official jewellery sponsors and their Olympic campaign features four British Olympic and Paralympic ambassadors. Olympic swimmer Keri-anne Payne, Olympic track athlete Christian Malcolm, Paralympic cyclist Sarah Storey OBE and Paralympic rower Tom Aggar, all seen sporting the iconic 'Team GB' Bracelets.

Links of London have incorporated an Olympic theme through all their collections which can all be seen in Rudells two showrooms in Wolverhampton and Harborne, Birmingham.

The Sweetie and Friendship bracelets have long been synonymous with the Links of London brand, and have been given a London 2012 twist. The official London 2012 colours are seen in Sweetie stones and Friendship threads, while a new collection of silver and gold charms represent many of the Olympic and Paralympic sports.

The brand new innovative 'Play' charm collection allows consumers to collect beads and charms and thread together moments from their favourite London 2012 experiences to build a personalised set of memories. A selection of sports-themed charms allows for endless choices to “play” with.

The iconic Union Jack collection for men and women allows the patriotic to parade British fashion and celebrate the London 2012 Olympics. Offering fun, fashionable and collectible designs for men and women, every piece includes a slanting Union Jack – a modern take on this classic motif.

Entwine is a homage to Olympic history. The beautiful silver collection of earrings, bracelets, pendants on rings all feature the unique design taken from the curling scrolls of ribbons attached to the medals given to winning athletes.
