DevelopIQ and Destiny Wireless Included on Framework to Provide Digital Pen Solutions to Public Sector Organisations

London, UK – 26 June 2012 Anoto, creator of the digital pen and paper technology, today announces that two of its Platinum partners, DevelopIQ and Destiny Wireless, have been selected for the Digital Pen Framework for the UK. The Digital Pen Framework was set up by Solent Supplies Team (SST), an NHS procurement organisation.

The Digital Pen Framework now covers the entire public sector, making it easier for public sector organisations to procure digital pen solutions to assist them with the data capture of handwritten notes and forms. The technology has already been used successfully in many health services projects, but with the new Digital Pen Framework, all public sector organisations can purchase the technology from the approved organisation’s, without the need for Individual and lengthy procurement and tendering processes.

DevelopIQ have delivered a multi award winning digital pen solution to Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust’s 120 midwives and are now working with Portsmouth and other midwifery units around the UK to enhance this solution. In Wales it has recently worked with Aneurin Bevan Health Board to deliver an integrated digital pen solution for the Gwent Frailty Consortia targeted at improving the care of Frail citizens in their homes. This solution, initially launched to 200 users, has generated estimated annual cost savings of £600,000.

Destiny Wireless has recently provided a digital pen solution to The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust and Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as well as partnering with FACE Recording and Measuring Systems Ltd and Intouch with Health. Destiny Wireless has also received accreditation from the Information Governance Statement of Compliance Team (IGSOC) certifying that their services pass the necessary NHS security requirements.

IGSOC accreditation means that Destiny Wireless can now deliver even more efficiency savings to the NHS utilising the access to the N3 connection. N3 is the private national broadband network for the NHS, linking hospitals, medical centres and GPs in England and Scotland.
