Insight’s continued ability to win new customers achieves recognition at Lenovo’s annual partner event

London – 21 August 2012 - Insight UK has been awarded SMB Partner of the Year by Lenovo at its awards ceremony in Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire. The award, which was presented at Lenovo UK’s annual business partner event, was in recognition of Insight’s continued efforts at successfully acquiring new business customers for both itself and Lenovo off the back of the ‘For those who do’ brand campaign.

Insight beat off strong challenges from Misco, Equanet, PC World Business and TCN to win the award, which Justin Hume Product Manager, Notebooks, Tablets & Mobile Devices at Insight UK, believes further demonstrates the quality of Insight’s partner service teams.

“This is a wonderful achievement and demonstrates what can be achieved when two organisations work together in a true spirit of partnership. I would like to thank the Lenovo Account team for all their hard work – the great support they’ve given to Insight with has allowed us to exceed our growth objectives with Lenovo,” he said.

This recognition from Lenovo builds on Insight’s recent successes on being awarded Microsoft’s Desktop Partner of the Year, NetApp’s Mid Size Enterprise Partner of the Year, and PCR Awards Reseller of the Year.

The awards ceremony was hosted by Darren Phelps, the SMB and channel director for Lenovo UK and Ireland. He explained, "Insight has played a significant role in the success of our UK business in the last year and we're delighted to reward the team there with our SMB Partner of the Year award. For us, this particular award encompasses not only commercial targets such as acquiring new customers, converting line of business and switching customers from competing brands - but also the importance of teamwork.
