Conference sessions at Intermodal Europe 2012 in Amsterdam from 27-29 November, will include a heavy focus on ports and terminals, addressing some of the challenges currently faced across the sector.
"The Intermodal Europe Port Debate will see spokespeople from some of the world’s largest, most influential ports discussing current and future issues in port development and for international maritime supply chains” says Sophie Ahmed, Event Director of Intermodal Europe 2012.

The Port of Amsterdam’s Director of Strategic Development, Herman Journeé, will chair a session at the event, titled ‘Inland Navigation: long-term strategies for moving more goods via accessible and navigable waterways’, which will consider the role of inland waterways in the intermodal mix. “Many companies are looking for innovative transport solutions that will help to save costs and reduce emissions” adds Sophie Ahmed. “This session will explore how rivers and canals can form an important part of these solutions.”
