Graphics and Print, are one of the few print companies to make a commitment that every one of its employees will spend a minimum of two days per year, during work time, supporting charities or disadvantaged people

Some companies talk a good game when it comes to supporting the communities in which they operate and then there are others who walk the talk! Telford Printers Graphics and Print, are one of the few print companies to make a commitment that every one of its employees will spend a minimum of two days per year, during work time, supporting charities or disadvantaged people in having a better life and on Wednesday 12th September, Graphics and Print more than demonstrated this with half of the factory turning out to support Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust.

Here’s Managing Director Martin Kells to explain more; “Graphics and Print started out in Telford in 1980, as a small family-run business providing printing services, and understand how important it is to have local support in order to succeed. Despite our rapid growth, we have managed to maintain a family atmosphere during our growth journey, creating our own internal company community. This sense of valuing our people is expressed through our interaction with the wider society so when Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust mentioned that they had a number of jobs they could really do with some help with, we were only too pleased to step in. The key task on the day was to help clear out a storage area to create some much needed space. The trouble was, the area hadn’t been used for tens of years and contained materials which being polite, had gathered dust since the 70s. It took a team of eight colleagues in the morning and six in the afternoon, to clear the site and generate the much needed additional space for the Trust. To say the least, we all left a lot dirtier than when we arrived but it was a fantastic experience and we felt a tremendous sense of pride that we’d been so useful for the Trust. We’re already planning our next visit to support with the building of some flower beds.”

There are a number of ways in which Graphics and Print demonstrate their Community Commitment from staff participation in local or community-based charitable events, to sponsorship, donations, providing work experience to local schools and colleges, special discount offers for charities and most recently, launching their own Fantasy Football League to raise money for a variety of charities. They are dedicated towards establishing relationships with organisations in the local area to help strengthen the community infrastructure and try to use local suppliers where possible to help support neighbouring businesses.

Graphics and Print provide an end-to-end print manufacturing service. The design, manufacturing, packaging and distribution all take place under one roof, ensuring that quality checks can be made from start to finish. From design, through to print, they offer award winning design and print at a very competitive price.
