DRS Data Services Ltd has once again shown support to The Association of European Election Officials (ACEEEO) as one of the key sponsors of the 21st annual conference, which took place in Sarajevo earlier this month.

The global leader in the provision of election technologies also showcased London’s recent experience of e-counting technology during the GLA (Greater London Authority) elections that took place in May 2012. The case study featured a filmed interview with one of the Greater London Returning Officers, John Bennett.

The ACEEEO is independent from political parties and governments and has an agenda that includes supporting the regulation and professionalisation of the Electoral Management Bodies (EMBs) in Europe and other ACEEEO member states.

DRS works in partnership with EMBs, commissions and international advisory bodies, NGOs and has the experience and expertise to share best practice with regard to the modernisation of the electoral process and the use of technology to facilitate this. The GLA case study and specifically John Bennett’s experience as a Returning Officer, highlighted how utilising e-counting technology during the GLA elections offer speed, accuracy, greater transparency and reliability that created public confidence.
