Swyx's Ralf Ebbinghaus

our partners can really build innovative solutions that integrate with the customer’s exact requirements

London, UK, 5th October 2012 – Swyx, a market-leading vendor of Unified Communications (UC) held the Swyx Technology Conference 2012 at its UK headquarters in Stockley Park last week and was delighted by a record turn-out of partners from the UK as well as other English-speaking territories such as the Netherlands. At the Conference Swyx partners (including developers, administrators and consultants) had the opportunity to expand their knowledge of SwyxWare and network with the Swyx community.

Swyx’s Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Ralf Ebbinghaus who hosted the conference said, “The event was very well attended and there was a real buzz about the technology road map and the introduction of new UC endpoints including our latest P280 handset designed and manufactured by Swyx.” Key topics discussed at the conference included integration of the Swyx-IT soft client with back office applications as well as existing contact management using Swyx’s new VisualContacts functionality, extended call routing, Swyx in the cloud and social media integration.

GB Railfreight speaks about how it uses Swyx
One of the highlights of the event was a talk by Swyx customer GB Railfreight (part of EuroTunnel). The company’s IT manager George Ford explained how the open and software-based nature of the Swyx solution enables them to achieve some really innovative applications including ‘automatic sign-on of over 200 railway drivers’ as well as achieving “50% annual savings year on year”.

Director of Operations for UK & Ireland at Swyx, Mark Russell says, “The GB Railfreight story is a great illustration of how our partners can really build innovative solutions that integrate with the customer’s exact requirements. This is only possible with pure software based solutions such as Swyx that are simply just another application on the network.”

“The feedback from those who attended was very positive and the opportunity to share and discuss ideas about current and future developments was invaluable for both Swyx and delegates alike.” concluded Ralf Ebbinghaus.
