Secos (Partners) Limited|, leading providers of sustainability management services, are delighted to announce the launch of ecoskill, a range of e-learning courses for green business.

Ecoskill| will provide inspirational on-line courses for people to learn how to create or develop their successful business in the growing green economy. Experienced sustainability practitioners have developed ecoskill’s courses with interactivity, flexibility and accessibility at the core.

The first course aimed at budding Green Entrepreneurs goes live today. Entitled “Generating Ideas”, the course provides a structured approach to help people create practical business ideas for greener products and services that can form the basis of new business ventures.

The green economy is growing quickly due to the demand from governments, businesses and consumers around the world. There is so much innovation in this sector and Secos saw a great opportunity for new businesses to be a part of this growth – and help to protect the planet for future generations.

This first course uses a mix of text, images, audio and video in its ten modules along with a number of inspiring examples. It includes an overview of the green economy and the challenges fuelling its growth, a method to spark new green business ideas and finally a review process to identify the ideas that show real promise

Hanna Plant, Education & Learning Coordinator for Change Agents UK (a charity driving sustainability related employment and training opportunities for graduates) said, “this course is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to create their own business or social enterprise. It’s a great tool to enhance employability in the sustainability sector and beyond and I am sure this innovative programme will make an impact for both its students and the sector as a whole.”

As part of the launch, ecoskill is supporting national charity NACUE’s Varsity Pitch competition ( an annual awards for budding entrepreneurial undergraduates and recent graduates looking to kick start their business. Ecoskill is sponsoring the Green Business category. David Young, Head of Commercial at NACUE said: “We're delighted to be working with ecoskill. This course is a fantastic tool for graduates to either set themselves up in business or set themselves apart from their peers in an increasingly competitive job market.”
